Eurostar unveils salon in departure lounge

Eurostar has unveiled a pop-up express hair salon in its London St Pancras departure lounge. Chop-Chop will be taking up residence in the London lounge for a minimum of three months. Designed to offer travellers a quick, convenient and first-class cut and style, it offers chic holidaymakers and time-pressed business passengers luxury on-the-go hair styling before travelling to the Continent. For only £20, Eurostar customers can refresh their look while relaxing in a private pod before travel. Roberto Abbondio, Eurostar MD of new digital business said: “The swift style and cut enables our travellers to leave their London look behind, and board the train feeling refreshed, before they’ve even started their holiday or their journey back home.”

HKCEC kicks off Think Before Plastic

Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre is set to cut out more than 1.6 million plastic items annually with its new Think Before Plastic campaign. The drive will see the replacement of plastic disposable cutlery with non-plastic alternatives at all HKCEC restaurant outlets and concession stands. Plastic straws are also no longer provided, with paper straws available upon request. The venue has also discontinued the sale of plastic bottled beverages from all vending machines for staff members and contractors working in back of house areas, and is encouraging visitors and event attendees to bring their own bottles when attending events at the HKCEC.
