The event at Hylands House, Chelmsford, will begin at 11.00am with registration, coffee and networking, followed at 11.30am by a welcome from Andy Edge, Visit Essex Chairman, a short presentation on the new Osea Island Resort by the owner Nigel Frieda, and The Essex Offer by Carol Jolly, Business Tourism Manager. After a buffet lunch, buyers will be able to meet face to face with representatives from many of the Essex venues displayed. Tours of Hylands House will also be available throughout the afternoon.
If you have never organised an event in Essex before, or are thinking about doing so, then this event will be the ideal opportunity to get a “taster” of what the county has to offer. This once Saxon Kingdom has a beautiful landscape of countryside coast, towns and villages, and is the perfect backdrop for any event.
Essex has not had a focus on business tourism before, and the main marketing tool is the brand new website www.visitessex.com/business - a directory of the many venues available throughout the county, together with ideas for team building and corporate days out. The website is available to browse now, and there will also be other marketing activities taking place over the next few months including familiarisation trips and meet the buyer events. The official launch of Visit Essex for Business at Hylands House on Thursday 19th May marks the beginning of an exciting project for the county.
