Meeting rooms with a view at Hotel Arts

Barcelona’s Hotel Arts has unveiled two new floors of meeting space offering panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea and the city. Arts 41, located on the 40th and 41st floors, offers six separate spaces each with expansive windows, which can cater for up to 200 guests. Up until now, Hotel Arts had only one meeting room with natural light.

Rosemary Trigg, director of communications, Hotel Arts, said: “One of the reasons people come to Hotel Arts is for the views, and, as all of the meeting rooms were on the ground floor, we didn’t have any with views up until now.”

She added: “Clients can’t believe we didn’t have anything here before. This space was going to be an apartment for the owner, but that didn’t happen. We looked at what different options there were – a restaurant, a bar - and decided on meeting space. There’s nothing else like this in Barcelona.”

Each room in Arts 41 is named after the colour blue in a different Mediterranean language, including ‘Bleu’, a state-of-the-art videoconferencing facility with capacity for up 16 people. The room’s meeting table features integrated motorised screens that are equipped with internet, voice and video connections.

The 483-bedroom hotel has also launched a new Champagne bar featuring over forty different types of Champagne and an extensive wine list of Spanish and Catalan wines. Meanwhile, the venue’s Enoteca Restaurant, overseen by head chef Paco Pérez, has just been awarded its first Michelin star. The restaurant serves gourmet Mediterranean cuisine made from locally sourced produce, including herbs from its own garden.

Arts 41 will be showcased to event organisers visiting EIBTM, which takes place in the city this week, with a cocktail party on Tuesday evening.
