Speakers from Cisco, Linklaters, Barclays, Adecco and Thomas Cook have joined the line-up for the 2011 Summer Eventia conference, taking place in Cardiff this month.
Cisco Live’s global marketing manager Staci Clark will look at how events businesses can attract new audiences and strengthen relationships with existing delegates via a choice of new media channels.
Key Olympic sponsors will follow, discussing their event and hospitality plans for ‘the greatest show on Earth’. Stephen Vaughan, MD of Thomas Cook's London 2012 Partnership will head up a panel, which also comprises Ben Atherton, London 2012 programme manager for Cisco; Nick Grandvoinet, VP sales EMEA, InterContinental Hotel Group - official hotel provider to London 2012; and Steve Girdler, director of London 2012 Partnership for Adecco. Asking the questions will be David Hornby, founder of agency Why Not UK and former commercial director of Visit London.
The following day Sharyn Hadfield from Linklaters and Emma Nielsen, deputy head of Barclays events, take part in a panel debate discussing the agency and supplier relationship.
Conference chairman and vice chair of Eventia Simon Hughes, COI, director, live events, said: “The Summer Eventia 2011 has an exceptionally strong speaker programme and we’re delighted that so many agencies and corporates have volunteered their speaker services. Each year, Summer Eventia continues to raise the bar and I anticipate another excellent event in Cardiff.”
The event will be held at The Mercure Holland House Hotel, 26-28 June. Visit www.eventia.org.uk for booking information.
