Global event management software company Cvent has launched a new piece of software it says will help associations and not for profit organisations to boost their membership base.
The new Membership Management Module allows administrators to collect membership dues in conjunction with event fees, send membership renewal emails, generate unique IDs for new members and create a web page where members can connect with each other.
Chuck Ghoorah, Cvent co-founder and executive VP of sales and marketing, said: “We saw huge demand for a membership management module within the Cvent system that would eliminate the need to use several different applications. With this new functionality, Cvent will serve as a one-stop shop for our clients’ event, web survey and membership management needs.”
Last month Cvent raised $136m (£83m) in funding through venture capital firms New Enterprise Associates and Venture Partners - one of the biggest software funding deals in the last five years. The money will be ploughed into new products and, possibly, acquisitions.
Cvent now employs 800 people worldwide. In the last few years business has taken off, with its client base doubling in size to 7,500 organisations.
