Attendees
at the European Meetings & Events Conference in Budapest can now also sit the Certified
Meeting Professional (CMP) examination.
It’s the idea
of organisers Meeting Professionals International (MPI) to provide exam places
on Saturday 29 January, 2012.
The CMP is an internationally recognised certification programme offered
through the Convention Industry Council. For professionals who are invested in
continuing development, the CMP designation demonstrates commitment to the
standards of the industry.
“MPI is excited that CIC is extending the application for the CMP examination
at the EMEC in Budapest
to 30 November,” said Diana Rogers, MPI director of professional development.
“We would love to host as many qualified EMEA candidates as possible. Meeting
professionals in the region have the opportunity to join the elite CMP
community, and we hope they will take advantage of the extended deadline.”
The test will be the last chance for European professionals to take the paper
and pencil version of the exam which is based on the previous CIC Blueprint.
