Jonathan Cohen leaves VisitDenmark to set up new business

06/06/2012

VisitDenmark’s head of business events for the UK and Ireland, Jonathan Cohen, has left the organisation to set up his own marketing and communications company.

Following an internal restructure, Cohen – who has been with VisitDenmark for 12 years – has decided to start up Azimuth Marketing & Communications, which he says will provide project-based sales and marketing support to the meetings and events industry.

Cohen explained: “With 25 years' experience in the meetings and incentive industry, including the last 12 years working for VisitDenmark, I am well placed to understand the sector and offer creative and practical marketing and sales solutions for destinations, regional tourism organisations, DMCs and other specialists in the industry. Azimuth will also offer sales training, representation, branding, PR support as well as other short term contracts."

Henrik Kahn, director of VisitDenmark, said: “We wish Jonathan well and will continue to build on the success he has helped to bring to Denmark also in the future."

VisitDenmark's London-based business events team will continue operating with Margit Klemmensen as marketing manager and Ines Lebaek as sales manager.
