Banks
Sadler celebrated its 30th birthday with the announcement of the
opening of its New York
office and figures that suggest 2012 may be another record-breaking year.
The
London-based agency threw a 30th celebration party this week, with
around 100 partners and clients, including representatives from IBM, Santander
and Prudential, enjoying the sunshine and signature cocktails in the Courtyard
31 at the Crowne Plaza London - St James.
The event
followed a record year for the events agency, which recorded an
£812k profit for 2011.
CEO Leigh
Jagger told guests the company was already posting strong results for 2012,
having retained key clients and won new ones, including two new pharma accounts
worth about €6m (£4.8m) in business.
The company
has already done 310 events this year – 80 per cent of the total number
completed for the whole of last year, with a busy pipeline still to come.
International
expansion has helped the agency’s growth, Jagger added: “As of the first of July
we officially open our office doors in New York
and we already have a number of contracts which have US business.”
Offices in France and Germany
had gone from being cost centres to contributing to profit in recent times,
she said: “Spend in France
is already up 21 per cent and in Germany it is running even with
last year. 2012 is
turning out to be far from the quiet year many may have predicted, though 2013
is still difficult to call.”
