Church House Conference Centre hosted a reception to mark the inaugural British Citizen Awards (BCA), which saw unsung heroes from across the country recognised for their contributions to society.
The event at the Westminster venue followed a ceremony at the House of Lords at which 28 individuals were presented with medals of honour in recognition of the positive impact they have had on society.
Hosted by Baroness Cox and supported by the i newspaper, medals were presented for several categories including services to community, volunteering and charitable giving, business, industry, health, education and overseas achievement.
Following the presentation ceremony, as one of the award’s sponsors, Church House Conference Centre hosted 100 guests in the Harvey Goodwin Suite for a drinks reception.
Church House Conference Centre GM Robin Parker said: “We were delighted to be involved in the event which celebrated some amazing people. At the reception it was really inspiring to hear many of the recipients talk about their experiences. The BCA is a great new initiative and deserves to go from strength to strength; I wish it every success for the future.”
