Attractive conference destination where tradition meets innovation
Exciting and beautiful, cosmopolitan and charming, traditional and future-oriented: the diversity of Stuttgart makes it worth visiting more than once.
Stuttgart is a major European business destination nestled in a charming landscape of picturesque vineyards. It was here - over 125 years ago - that the very first automobile was built by Gottlieb Daimler. The brand names of Mercedes-Benz and Porsche are still today synonymous with Stuttgart and quality made in Germany. Truly outstanding achievements and exceptional inventive talent are evident at every turn: castles and palaces bear witness to a great past – and bold, futuristic architecture to an equally great present. This vibrant city and its surroundings offer meeting planners a wealth of modern and unique venues as well as outstanding convention services.
In Stuttgart, the fine arts have always been given ample room to flourish: the State Theatre is the world’s largest tripartite theatre, the Stuttgart Ballet has enjoyed a worldwide reputation ever since the days of John Cranko, and the State Opera has received the 'Opera of the Year' award several times.
There is a lot to discover: spectacular museums like the Mercedes-Benz and Porsche Museums, beautiful palaces, world-class shopping, nine Michelin star restaurants and
the beautiful countryside offer a wide range of activities. Visitors enjoy the Stuttgart Beer Festival, the Stuttgart Wine Festival and the wonderful Christmas markets. To make good use of the time in Stuttgart, the free Stuttgart After Business App provides need-based leisure activities for business travellers.
Few other locations can match the Stuttgart Region as a centre of high technology and innovation. Besides automotive engineering and electromobility, the leading technology clusters are engineering, aerospace technology and the increasingly important environmental technologies.
More and more, the Stuttgart Region is developing into one of Germany's foremost meeting destinations. It stands out as an innovative economic and scientific location by virtue of its local industry and science expertise. Stuttgart also leads the field with regard to sustainability providing a range of sustainably managed venues. The tourist destination of Stuttgart received the official "Sustainable Destination" signet in October 2014 after the successful completion of the sustainability check, a unique, nationwide certification concept for tourist destinations.
Stuttgart can be easily accessed: The sustainably managed Stuttgart Airport is one of the most modern airports in Europe. There are direct flights to Stuttgart Airport from more than 100 international destinations and it takes only 25 minutes with public transportation to reach the city centre. Frequent speed trains connect Stuttgart main station with Frankfurt Airport in only 1.15h. National and European destinations are well connected by rail and motorways.
